Thirty four Kenyan coaches from various regions across the country are on their way to Tanzania for the American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) Level One, Two, and Three coaching courses.

The coaches, who make up Kenya Aquatics’ largest cohort of coaches to attend an external swimming course, are set to be involved in the week-long training, scheduled to take place in Dar es Salaam.

As reported by Mozzart Sport earlier this month, the course will be led by renowned ASCA swimming coach Chad Onken as the primary instructor.

Among the notable names of teams sending out their coaches to the event include: Braeburn, Supermarlins, Seahorses, Potterhouse, Crawford International School, Riara, Loreto Msongari, Nova Pioneer, Sabis International School, Meru Aquatics, St. Christopher's School Nanyuki, St. Christopher's School Karen, Moi Nyeri Complex Primary School, Nyeri Aquatics, Umoja Sharks, and Kiambu Aquatics.

On the list of attendees are: Hon. George Munene, Liaison Officer for Kenya Aquatics, who will be undertaking the ASCA leadership course, Shadrack Mutiso, Head Coach at Potterhouse School and Competition Secretary for Kiambu Aquatics, and Ali Omar, Chairperson of the Kenya Aquatics Technical Committee.

"I am thrilled about this course and determined to excel in all the exams,” Mutiso said. “I look forward to enhancing my coaching skills and technical knowledge in managing high-level competitions. I plan to share the knowledge I gain with fellow coaches back home who didn't get this opportunity."

Key among the programs in the Level 2 and 3 course, will be a Leadership course for club managers, a Swimmers Clinic on Mental Performance, and a Parent Education session, dedicated towards supporting children's swimming journeys.
